DAVID A. HOWE, M.D., D.C., M.B.A.
Dr. Howe brings over 35 years of executive leadership experience as a medical director and clinical doctor. He has championed the design, development and implementation of solutions related to the advancement of stem cell technology and has contributed significantly to all critical processes and procedures from the laboratory to clinical practice. He serves as a subject matter expert to various regulatory and medical agencies in over twelve countries that are involved in various stages of stem cell treatment and research.
Dr. Howe has made presentations and provided advisory services to government, regulatory, hospital medical and technical teams, ethics and Institutional Review Boards. He is the co-author of the authoritative book on stem cells, “The Miracle of Stem Cells: How Adult Stem Cells Are Transforming Lives.”
As the Chief Executive and Medical Officer of Longevity Medicine, Dr. Howe incorporates innovations in science and technology designed to significantly improve quality of life, increase life expectancy and to enhance the well-being of people of all ages. To achieve these objectives, the center brings together the best minds in longevity and regenerative medicine, stem cell research and therapy, nutritional consultation and physical and rehabilitative therapies.
Dr. Howe was one of the founders of Stemedica Cell Technologies, Inc., a world leading bio-pharmaceutical company specializing in developing, manufacturing and distributing multiple lines of allogeneic adult stem cell products (for human use) that are used to treat a variety of diseases and medical conditions. Between 2005 and 2011, in his role as Senior Vice President and Medical Director, Dr. Howe provided oversight as a senior strategist, innovator and implementer in championing the design, development and implementation of ethical guidelines and clinical protocols for stem cell technologies used for treatment and for regulatory agency approval. He has collaborated with world renowned stem cell scientists, physicians and technicians in developing quality systems, protocols and best practices in stem cell translational medicine.
Dr. Howe has advocated for, and provided strategic and tactical direction in the adoption of innovative systems and processes to support infrastructure, medical informatics concepts, expertise, and knowledge required for integration with clinical and business needs. He has co-led the clinical studies, analysis of data and report generation related to various medical diseases and conditions. He has participated in the preparation of outcome data used in the application for regulatory approvals in over twelve countries.
Prior to his role at Stemedica, Dr. Howe was the owner and Medical Director of the San Diego Clinic of Preventive Medicine, which specialized in the most current treatments in alternative as well as mainstream medicine.
Dr. Howe received his Medical Degree from Ross University from New York City, and his Doctor of Chiropractic from the National College of Chiropractic Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Howe received a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from St. Thomas University in St. Paul, Minnesota.
On an ongoing basis since 2005, Dr. Howe has participated in advanced, post-doctoral training specializing in the science, development, manufacturing, protocol development and transplantation of adult stem cells at the Presidents Kremlin Hospital, the Federov Eye Institute & the Institute of General Pathology and Pathophysiology in Moscow, Russia.
Dr. Howe has personally been involved in the stem cell treatment of over 200 patients from the United States and abroad with medical diseases and conditions related to neurology, ophthalmology, cardiology and dermatology. Dr. Howe has personally participated in stem cell studies and has been a recipient of stem cell transplantation.
